Özet
This work is about a handwritten prayer book that we suppose it is one of the first samples of Kazan Tatar. This prayer book is among the Holy Korans and prayer books at Prospekt Mir Mosque in Moscow. Any information is not available about the name, the author, the scribal, the place and date of the book. The work consists of 150 pages i.e. 75 leaves. In the book some knowledge about fiqh (salaah, fasting, alms charity, imamate) along with Arabic surats and prayers are included. Moreover some hadiths of Hadhrat Mohamed are also mentioned. The parts that make the book important in the view of Turkish Language is the parts written in Turkish. The book was written by using vowel points. The fact that the book was written by using vowel points enables us to comment more precisely about the Turkish in which the book was written. We can fairly Introduce the book among the first keepsakes of Tatar Turkish because of its orthography and certain grammatical characters. The book in which the traces of Chagatay (we name Common Middle Asian Turkish) are noticeable, must be one of the first samples of the initial term of Kazan Tatar.
