Özet

It is possible to prepare clothes which are comfortable, aesthetic and convenient to body shape and fashion by drawing pattern. In ready-made clothing that has become a branch of industry as a requirement of the age, it is important to prepare a pattern that is ergonomic and convenient to the anatomy of the target mass. Because the pattern forms up the basis of clothes preparation. Muller pattern system is a German pattern system which is often used in Turkey. However, it is known that this pattern system is not exactly suitable for Turkish people. Body shape can vary according to not only the factors such as anatomy, nourishment and heredity also countries. For that reason it is necessary to develop a pattern system, convenient to local and anatomic structure of each country. In the research done in order to create the most suitable pattern for the anatomy of Turkish children; the size patterns for the age 3, 4, 5 and 6 have been sewn as half size with American cloth, and a hundred children from all ages have these clothes put on, and the convenience of Muller pattern system, the basic body and sleeve patterns to Turkish children's body has been examined. The defectiveness has been transferred on the table. The suitability of it for children has been counted as a percentage. Its suitability for Turkish children has been checked Yates correction being done by the test X-2 (khi square). As a result of the research, patterns have been developed and made suitable for the girls at the age 3, 4, 5 and 6.
