| dc.description.abstract | Struma ovarii is an uncommon ovarian neoplasm that more than half of itself is made up of thyroid tissue. In clinical trials about the disease, malign transformation has been detected at the rate of 0.5-5 percent. Because of the disease's rareness, there is no absolute agreement about diagnosis and treatment of the disease and general approach is that malign struma ovarii case is treated and followed up just like done in thyroid cancers. In this case report, it is aimed to represent the treatment and 1-year follow up of papillary microcarcinoma case which evolves with struma ovarii. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Struma ovarii, tümör dokusunun yarısından fazlasını tiroid dokusunun oluşturduğu nadir görülen bir over tümörüdür. Çalışmalarda hastalığın %0.5-5 oranında malign transformasyonu saptanmıştır. Nadir görülen bir hastalık olmasından dolayı tanı ve tedavisinde kesin bir görüş birliği yoktur ve genel kabul edilen yaklaşım malign struma ovarii vakalarının tiroid kanseri gibi tedavi ve takip edilmesidir. Bu olgu sunumunda struma ovarii zemininde gelişen bir papiller mikrokarsinom vakasının tedavisi ve 1 yıllık takibini sunmayı amaçladık. | en_US |
