In terms of relation between man-God/man-revelation, the contribution of the national and divine religions to the point of the human beings to the environment and contributions to the education of environmental protection is the subject of this study. From the point of relation between God-manenvironment, physical world seems a work of the Holy in the archaic religions. Beginning from the archaic period, man imitates in his world the creations of this holy being and continues living according to this. For this reason, the tendency on imitation of God (imitatio dei) has been existed all along the history of man. Because even in the most archaic levels of the culture, living as a man is considered as a religious action per se. Archaic man lived in dignity and modesty with taboos in the area which he accepted as holy. He behaved more liberal in the area, which he accepted as profane. For the archaic man, both of these two areas are the environment directly. This directed the relation of man with environment to religious thought. In this study, the relation of religion with environment beginning from the archaic period from the point of common religions and divine religions are examined.
