Özet
Nostalji, bireyin geçmişe duyduğu özlem duygusu iken, travmalar bireyin
geçmişte yaşadığı şok edici olaylardır. Balkan toplumu için ise bu şok edici olay
şüphesiz Yugoslavya’nın dağılma hadisesidir. Yugoslavya coğrafyasında yaşanmış
ve hala yaşanan bu durumu, nostalji ve travma ile harmanlanmış olan Yugo-Nostalji
kavramı ile açıklamak mümkün olmuştur. Yugo-Nostalji, Yugoslavya Federal
Sosyalist Cumhuriyetine duyulan özlemi ifade eder. Yugo-Nostalji kavramı ikili bir
karşıtlık özelliği taşır. Özlem duygusunun yanında, acılarında yer aldığı eleştirel bir
konumdan seslenir. Bu tez çalışması, Emir Kusturica’nın “Dolly Bell’i Anımsıyor
musun?” “Yeraltı” ve “Bir Mucizedir Yaşamak” filmlerini Yugo-Nostalji ve Travma
anlatısı içerisinde incelemekte, Yugo-Nostalji ve travma anlatısının filmlerde nasıl
gerçekleştiğini ortaya çıkarmakta ve filmlerde yer alan nostaljik ve travmatik
mesajlar ile bunlara ilişkin eleştirileri açıklamaktadır. Birinci bölümde, film
çözümlemesinde yer alan kavramlar ve bu kavramların sinema ile olan ilişkisi
anlatılmaktadır. İkinci bölümde, Yugoslavya’nın tarihsel gelişimi, sosyal ve
ekonomik görünümü, Post-Yugoslav sineması konuları anlatılmakta, üçüncü
bölümde ise filmdeki Yugo-Nostaljik dünyanın anlatımı, nostalji ve travma,
üzerinden filmin çözümlemesi yapılmaktadır.
While nostalgia is an individual's sense of longing for the past, traumas are shocking events that the individual has experienced in the past. For the Balkan community, this shocking event is undoubtedly the disintegration of Yugoslavia. It was possible to explain this situation, which was experienced in the geography of Yugoslavia and is still experienced, with the concept of Yugo-Nostalgia, which is blended with nostalgia and trauma. Yugo Nostalgia refers to the yearning for the Federal Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia. The concept of Yugo-Nostalgia has a dual contrast. Besides the feeling of longing, it calls from a critical position in which it takes part in its suffering. This thesis examines the films of Emir Kusturica, “Do You Remember Dolly Bell?” "Underground" and "Life is a Miracle" within the YugoNostalgia and Trauma narrative, reveals how the Yugo-Nostalgia and trauma narrative is realized in the films, and explains the nostalgic and traumatic messages in the films and their criticisms. In the first part of the thesis, the concepts in film analysis and the relationship between these concepts and cinema are explained. In the second part of the thesis, the historical development of Yugoslavia, its social, economic view, and Post-Yugoslav cinema topics are explained; in the third part, the Yugo-Nostalgic world is narrated; through nostalgia and trauma the film is analyzed.
