Öğe Complexation Properties and Synthesis of a Novel Schiff Base with Triphenylene Nucleus(ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV, 2010) Koçyiğit, Özcan; Kurşunlu, Ahmed N.; Güler, ErsinWe presented the synthesis of a novel Schiff base and its complexation properties with some transition metal ions in this work. For this, the 2,3,4,6,7,10,11 hexahydroxytriphenylene (HHTP) as starting material was synthesized according to known procedure. Moreover, the 2-((2-chloroethylimino)methyl) phenol material was prepared with reaction of salicylaldehyde and 2-chloroethylamine hydrochloride. To give the 2,3,4,6,7,10,11-hexakis(salicyliminoethoxy)triphenylene (HSE-TP) as a novel Schiff base, the HHTP were treated with 2-((2-chloroethylimino)methyl)phenol in acetone media. Complexation properties of this Schiff base were investigated towards Ni(II), Cu(II),Co(II), Zn(II), Pd(II) and Cd(II) as transition metals. The structures of these new compounds (ligand and complexes) were characterized with FT-IR, magnetic susceptibility measurement, thermal methods (TGA), H-1 NMR and elemental analyses.Öğe Diskotik makromoleküllerin sentezi ve metal komplekslerinin incelenmesi(Selçuk Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2009) Koçyiğit, Özcan; Güler, ErsinBu çalışmanın birinci bölümümde çıkış maddesi olarak, 1,2-dimetoksibenzen (veratrol) kullanıldı. Veratrol, susuz demir(III)klorür ve diklormetanlı ortamda literatürde verilen metoda göre trimerizasyon reaksiyonuna tabi tutuldu ve 2,3,6,7,10,11- hekzametoksitrifenilen sentezlendi. Bu bileşiğe daha sonra BBr3 ile muamele edilerek 2,3,6,7,10,11-hekzahidroksitrifenilen sentezlendi. Sentezlenen trifenilen çekirdek ile; etilbromoasetat, metil(4-bromometil)benzoat, metil 5-bromovalereat ve metil 6-bromovalereat sıvı kristal özellik gösterebilen liganları elde edildi. Sentezlenen bu ligandlar HCl ile etkileştirilip, daha sonra etanollü ortamda [{Fe(Salen)}2O], [{Cr(Salen)}2O], [{Fe(Saloph)}2O], [{Cr(Saloph)}2O] köprü kompleksleri ile reaksiyona tabi tutularak yeni Fe(III) ve Cr(III) kompleksleri elde edildi. Ayrıca bu trifenilen çekirdeğe 2-[(2-Kloroetilimino)metil]fenol Schiff bazı bağlanarak sentezlenen liganda, etanollü ortamda Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Pd(II) ve Cd(II) asetat tuzları ilave edilerek bu ligandların renkli kompleksleri elde edildi. Bu çalışmanın ikinci bölümümde çıkış maddesi olarak 1,3,5-tris(bromometil)benzen kullanıldı. 1,3,5-Tris(bromometil)benzen K2CO3 ve asetonitrilli ortamda 4-hidroksibenzaldehit ile reaksiyona girerek, 1,3,5-tris(formilfenoksimetil)benzen (TRIPOD) elde edildi. Bu bileşiğin benzer literatürlerden faydalanarak çeşitli aminler ile kenetlenme reaksiyonu verdirilmesi sonucu Tripodal Schiff bazları sentezlendi. Tripodal Schiff bazlarının sentezi için 5-aminoisoftalikasit, 4-aminobenzoikasit ve 4-nitroanilin molekülleri kullanıldı. Daha sonra etanollü ortamda [{Fe(Salen)}2O], [{Cr(Salen)}2O], [{Fe(Saloph)}2 O], [{Cr(Saloph)}2 O] köprü kompleksleri ile reaksiyona tabi tutularak yeni Fe(III) ve Cr(III) kompleksleri elde edildi. Sonuç olarak trifenilen çekirdekli beş, tripod çekirdekli üç toplam sekiz farklı ligand ve kompleksleri izole edilerek, elementel analizleri, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, manyetik süsseptibilite ve TGA/DTG spektrumları alınarak yapıları aydınlatıldı.Öğe Excess molar volumes, viscosity, refractive index, and Gibbs energy of activation of binary biodiesel plus benzene, and biodiesel plus toluene mixtures at 298.15 and 303.15 K(MAIK NAUKA/INTERPERIODICA/SPRINGER, 2008) Vural, Ufuk Sancar; Durmaz, Fatih; Koçyiğit, Özcan; Koçyiğit, Hasan; Muradoğlu, V.; Akın, BerilExcess molar volumes (VE ), viscosities, refractive index, and Gibbs energies were evaluated for binary biodiesel + benzene and toluene mixtures at 298.15 and 303.15 K. The excess molar volumes VE were determined from density, while the excess Gibbs free energy of activation G*Ewas calculated from viscosity deviation Delta eta. The excess molar volume (V E), viscosity deviation (Delta eta), and excess Gibbs energy of activation (G*E) were fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation to derive binary coefficients and estimate the standard deviations between the experimental data and calculation results. All mixtures showed positive V E values obviously caused by increased physical interactions between biodiesel and the organic solvents.Öğe Glisin’den Elde Edilen Schiff Bazlarının Sentezi ve Bunların Cu(II) ve Ni(II) Komplekslerinin Elde Edilmesi(Selçuk Üniversitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi, 2006) Koçyiğit, Özcan; Güler, ErsinBu çalışmada, çıkış maddeleri olarak asetaldehit ve benzaldehit kullanıldı. Bunlar, etilalkol ve potasyum hidroksit’li ortamda glisin’in alkoldeki çözeltisine, 3 saat karıştırılarak ilave edildi ve Schiff bazlarına çevrildi. Aldehitler, glisin ve KOH ile oda sıcaklığında potasyum tuzuna dönüştürüldü. Bu ürünlerin Cu(II), Ni(II) kompleksleri sentezlendi. Sentezlenen ürünlerin ve komplekslerin elemental analizleri, IR, 1 H-NMR spektrumları ve manyetik duyarlılık değerleri belirlendi. Ayrıca bazı fiziksel özellikleri tayin edildi ve bu suretle yapıları aydınlatıldı.Öğe Sorption of Cu(II) Onto Silica Gel Immobilized Calix[4]arene Derivative with Tripodal Structure(SPRINGER, 2012) Koçyiğit, Özcan; Erdemir, Serkan; Yılmaz, MustafaThis study contains the synthesis of silica gel-immobilized calix[4]arene derivative (TR-CL[4]P) as a new sorbent and its sorption studies towards Cu (II) ion in aqueous solution. The aldehyde pointed calix[4]arene derivative 5 was synthesized and then it was immobilized onto 3-aminopropilsilica gel (APS). In batch sorption experiments, the experimental results showed that TR-CL[4]P is effective sorbent towards Cu (II) ion. Therefore, the effect of solution pH, sorption time, temperature and initial metal ion concentration onto Cu (II) sorption was investigated. Maximum Cu(II) removal was obtained at 30 A degrees C, 30 min and pH 6.0 for TR-CL[4]P and the batch sorption capacity was found as 17.8 mg/g. The characteristics of the sorption process for Cu (II) ion were evaluated by using the Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) adsorption isotherms. Also, thermodynamic parameters, i.e., Delta G, Delta S, and Delta H were calculated for the system.Öğe Synthesis of 1,3,5-Tris(4-(4-Nitrophenyliminomethyl)Phenoxymethyl)Benzene as a New Schiff Base and Its Complexation Properties with the (Salen and Salophen)-Bridged Fe/Cr(III)(SPRINGER, 2010) Koçyiğit, Özcan; Güler, ErsinIn the present study, we discussed to synthesis of a new Schiff base with nitro groups and its complexation properties with Fe/Cr(III) salen/salophen capped complexes. For this, 1,3,5-tris (formylphenoxymethyl)benzene (1, TRIPOD) involving aldehyde groups was converted to the Schiff base derivative (2, TNPIM-TRIPOD) using 4-nitroaniline. The synthesized compound 2 were reacted with four new trinuclear Fe(III) and Cr(III) complexes involving tetradenta Schiff bases N,N-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine-(salenH(2)) or bis(salicylidene)-o-phenylenediamine-(salophenH(2)). Characterization of all compounds was made with elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), nuclear magnetic resonance (H-1-NMR), and magnetic susceptibility measurement. The complexes can also be characterized as low-spin distorted octahedral Fe(III) and Cr(III) bridged by nitro groups.
