Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin özgecilik, empatik ve sosyal öz yeterlilik eğilim düzeylerinin incelenmesi

Özet
Amaç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin sosyal davranışlarından biri olan algılanan özgecilik, empatik öz-yeterlilikve sosyal öz yeterlilik düzeylerinin; yaş, cinsiyet, öğrenci ve anne-babaların eğitim, sosyoekonomik durumugibi demografik değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma, Selçuk Üniversitesi AkşehirSağlık Yüksekokulu Hemşirelik Bölümünde okuyan, çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 150 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür.Veriler demografik bilgi formu, Özgecilik Ölçeği ve Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesindeyüzdelik dağılım, pearson korelasyon analizi, t testi ve One-way ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %71,3’ü kadın, %28,7’si erkektir. Öğrencilerin yaş aralığı 17-26 yılolup, yaş ortalamaları 20,811,62 yıl’dır. Öğrencilerin algılanan empatik öz-yeterlilik eğilim puan ortalamalarıx56,25, özgecilik puan ortalamaları x69,60’dır. Algılanan empatik öz yeterlilik ve özgecilik düzeyi arasında pozitifyönde ve istatistiksel olarak anlamı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin algılanan empatiköz yeterlilik eğilimleri ve özgecilik düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönde ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişkibulunmuştur (r0,34). Bu sonuç, öğrencilerin algılanan empatik öz yeterlilik eğilimleri yükseldikçe özgecilik düzeylerininde yükseldiğini ifade etmektedir. Erkek öğrencilerin özgecilik puan ortalamaları kız öğrencilerdendaha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır (erkek öğrenci 71,4, kız öğrenci 69,2). Aralarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı birfark saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Yaş, cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, anne ve baba eğitim ve çalışma durumu, aile tipi, yaşanılanyer, yakın arkadaş sayısı ve hemşirelik bölümünü seçme nedenlerinin özgecilik tutum, empatik ve sosyal öz yeterlilikdurumlarını etkilemediği saptanmıştır. Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin özgecilik, algılanan empatik ve sosyal özyeterlilik eğilimlerini geliştirici eğitim programlarının oluşturulması, düzenlenmesi, hemşirelik eğitiminde öğrencilereözgecilik gibi profesyonel değerlerin öğretilmesi oldukça önemlidir. Öğrencilere iş birliği, yardımlaşma,sorumluluk alma gibi özgeci davranışların eğitim-öğretim ortamlarında teşvik edilmesi; öğrencilerin özgeci davranışlarınıgeliştirecek etkinliklere katılmalarının desteklenmesi gerekmektedir.
Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the perceived altruism, empathic self-efficacy andsocial self-efficacy levels, which are one of the social behaviors of nursing students, in terms of demographic variablessuch as age, gender, educational status of students and parents, socioeconomic status. Material andMethods: The study was conducted with 150 students studying at Selcuk University, Department of Nursing,School of Health, Akşehir and accepting to participate in the study. The data were collected by the demographicinformation form, the Individualism Scale and the Empathic Tendency Scale. Percentage distribution, Pearson correlationanalysis, t-test and One-way ANOVA test were used in the evaluation of the data. Results: 71.3% of thestudents who participated in the survey were female and 28.7% were male. The age of the students ranged from17-26 and the average age was 20.811.62. The students' perceived empathic self-sufficiency tendency points averagesx 56.25, altitude averages x 69.60. Positive and statistically significant correlation was found between perceivedempathic self-sufficiency tendency and altruism levels. Positive and statistically significant correlationswere found between perceived empathic self-sufficiency tendency and altruism levels of the students participatingin the research (r0.35). This result implies that as perceived empathic self-sufficiency tendency of the studentsincrease, the levels of altruism increase. The male students' mean altitude scores were higher than femalestudents (male 71.4, female 69.2). No statistically significant difference was found between them. Conclusion: Itwas determined that the reasons for choosing age, gender, class level, mother and father education and workingstatus, family type, place of living, number of close friends and nursing department did not affect the altruisticattitude and empathic and social self-sufficiency status. It is very important to teach professional values such asthe development and organization of training programs that improve the altruism and perceived empathic andsocial self-sufficiency tendencies of nursing students, and the altruism to the students in nursing education. Encouragingstudent-like behaviors such as business alliance, cooperation and responsibility to the students in educationalenvironments; it is necessary to support participation of the students in activities to improve theiraltruistic behavior.
