Özet
In this study, we try to examine the chemistry success level of the high school students at 10th grade with the transition from 3-years (old system) to 4-years (new system) system. Fort his purpose, 28 chemistry questions from 2004 and 2005 Student Selection Examination were used. The questions were evaluated as true or false. The evaluation was done among the male and female students who are studying with old system, among the male and female students who are studying with new system and among the old system and new system students. From the survey not only the chemistry success of male and female students but also the chemistry success of old system and new system students were evaluated using SPSS 15.0 package program. Although the success of male students were higher than the female ones at the high school level, the success of female students were higher than the male ones at the B.Sc. level. Some explanation were tried to be given fort this result.
