Özet
İran öykücülüğünün temelleri, yazarlığa uzun hikaye ve roman yazarak başlayan ve bu alanda başarılı olamayan Muhammed Ali Cemâlzâde (1895-1996) tarafından atılmıştır.Modern dönem öykücülüğünün en önemli simalarından biri olan Cemâlzâde?nin eserleri İran edebiyatında önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Fakat onu dünyada meşhur eden eser, batılı anlamda yayımlanmış olan ve ilk Farsça öykü kitabı olarak kabul edilen YekîBûd ve YekîNebûd adlı hikayeler kitabıdır. Bu kitap yazar tarafından ilk kez 1300hş./1921 yılında Berlin?de neşredilmiştir. Biz çalışmamızda Ali Dehbâşî?nin yayına hazırladığı 1379hş./2000 yılında Kitâbhâne-i Millî-yi İran (İran Milli Kütüphanesi) tarafından Tahran?da basılmış olan nüshasını esas aldık. Yazar, bu hikayelerde genel olarak o zamanki İran?ın siyasi durumunu konu edinmiş, kitabını sade bir dille, halk dilinde yazmıştır. Bu nedenle yazar, hikayelerinde deyim ve atasözlerine de bolca yer vermiştir. Kitap, 6 farklı hikayeden oluşmaktadır. Bu kitabın hikayeleri Türkçe hariç, bazı dünya dillerine tercüme edilmiştir. Modern İran Edebiyatının ilk ve en önemli örnekleri arasında yer almış olan bu eseri, Türkçemize kazandırmanın bu alandaki eksikliği gidereceği kanısındayız.
