Özet

The concept of learning has an undeniable importance interms of both individuals and organizations. It is generally acceptedphenomenon that proportional development can be achieved fromlearning individuals to learning organizations and towards to learningsociety. In this study, traditional and learning organizations arecompared in terms of learning dimension. In the title of traditionalorganizations covers; The place of traditional organizations in theoriesof management, the assumptions of traditional management theorieson human and organization, the common features of traditionalmanagement approaches and the general evaluation of traditionalmanagement theories. The second main topic is related to learningorganizations. In this title, the definition and the character of thelearning organizations are introduced first. Then, the features anddevelopment process and dimensions of the learning organizations arediscussed. In the sub-headings of features of learning organizations, thesystem has been clarified in terms of thought, personel mastery, mentalmodels, shared vision, team learning. Eventually, the basic elementsof the organizations learning have been emphasized. At the end of thestudy, traditional and learning organizations are compared.
