| dc.description.abstract | Interrelationships between the certain morphometric sizes of testes to each others and to sperm quality were evaluated in Merino rams. The study was carried out on a total of nine rams two years old, having high fertility and nearly equal body weights. Rams were divided into three groups on the basis of testicular volume. In first (n.3) second (n.3) and third (n:3) groups testicular volume measuraments were in the range of 300-500, 500 * 700 and 700 - 900c * m ^ 3 respectively Four semen samples of each ram were collected with a weekly in- tervals and spermatologic features of rams were re corded. As a conclusion, a positive correlation between scrotal circumference, testes width and testes volume were de tected. Testes length had a nonsignificant correlation with scrotal circumference and testes volume. Although spermatologic features are not different in groups containing the rams having different testes volume, a positive cor relation was detected between testes length and sperm concentration per milliliter | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Merinos koçlarda testislere ilişkin çeşitli morfometrik ölçüm sonuçlarının birbirleriyle olan korelasyonlar ve testislere ait ölçüm sonuçları ile sperma kalitesi arasındaki ilişki araştırıldı Çalışmada toplam 9 adet fertilitesi yüksek, iki yaşlı ve yakın vücut ağırlıklarına sahip Merinos koç kullanıldı. Koçlar testis hacimleri dikkate alınarak 3 gruba ayrıldı. Birinci gruptaki koçlarda (n:3) testis hacimlerinin 300-500 cm ikinci gruptaki koç larda (n:3) 500-700 cm³ ve üçüncü gruptaki koçlarda (n.3) da 700-900 cm sınırları arasında olmasına özen gös terildi. Her koçtan haftalık aralarla toplam 4 sperma örneği alınarak spermatolojik özellikler belirlendi. Sonuç olarak, scrotal çevre uzunluğu, testis kalınlığı ve testis hacmi arasında pozitif yönde bir korelasyon bulunduğu belirlendi. Testis uzunluğu ile scrotal çevre uzunluğu ve testis hacmi arasında önemli pozitif bir korelasyon tespit edilemedi. Testis hacimleri farklı olan koç grupları arasında spermatolojik özellikler açısından önemli bir fark tespit edilememesine rağmen testis uzunluğu ve spermatozoon yoğunluğu arasında pozitif yönde bir korelasyon tespit edildi. | en_US |
