Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the physical and mental structure of the compulsory change in lifestyle in the COVID-19 pandemic in young people and to evaluate the effectiveness of quality of life due to these factors. Metods: It was carried out as an online questionnaire study with the voluntary participation of 168 university students. BMI was calculate. Beck Depression Scale was used to determine the risk of depression and the level of depressive symptoms, and the Short Form-36 questionnaire was used to determine the quality of life. The average number of steps in April was recorded to determine the level of physical activity. Results: The average age of the students was calculated as 20.54±1.85 (years), the average BMI was 22.43±1.85 (m/kg2 ) and the average number of steps was 2528±512 (steps/day). While no relationship was found between the quality of life and the number of steps, it was found to be negatively related to the level of depression. Conclusion: While the pandemic process affects the young population physically and makes them sedentary, it negatively affects their quality of life and increases the susceptibility to depression.
