Özet
Bu çalışmada, doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımları ve ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki Türkiye’nin 1992-2007 dönemi için incelenmiştir. Son dönem uygulamalı çalışmaların bulgularına göre karma sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Bazı çalışmalar doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımlarının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki pozitif etkilerini desteklerken, bazı çalışmalarda ise iki faktör arasında hiçbir ilişki bulunamamıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımları ve ekonomik büyüme arasında nedensellik ilişkisi bulunamamıştır. Ayrıca çalışmada 2002-2007 dönemine ait regresyon analizi incelenmiştir. Modelin esneklik katsayılarına göre doğrudan yabancı sermaye yatırımlarının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisinin orta şiddette olduğu sonucu bulunmuştur.
In this paper we examine the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic growth for Turkey’s 1992-2007 periods. According to recent empirical studies proposition mixed results have been concluded. While some empirical studies supported pozitif effects of foreign direct investment on economic growth, however some of them did not find any relationship between two factors. The analysis shows that there is not granger causality relationship between foreign direct investment and economic growth. Also in this paper 2002-2007 period is studied by using regression analysis. According to models, elasticity coefficient, foreign direct investment effects on economic growth is found medium intensity.
