| dc.description.abstract | Kültürlerarası iletişim çalışmalarının giderek arttığı bir dönemde, biri Doğuya, diğeri Batıya ait iki yazarı ve yapıtlarını yüzleştirerek, be/il bir olgu çerçevesinde temel benzerlik ve farkl lık/arı ortaya koymak bu çal şmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Yücel ve Flaubert, birbirinden yüz yıl arayla yaşamış, farklı dil ve kültürlere sahip iki önemli yazardır. Her ikisi de, söz konusu romanlarında, döneminin aydın ve bilim adamını ele alarak sorgulamışlardır. Bilim adamı ve aydın olma iddiasındaki kahraman/ar aracılığıyla, dönemlerinin bilim anlayışını ve aydın kimliğini ironik bir dille eleştirmi lerdir. Bunu yaparken, değişik romanesk yöntemler aracılığıyla, kendi aydın kimliklerini üstü kapalı bir şekilde ortaya koyarak entelektüel bir söylem oluşturmuşlar; sık s k başka yazar ve aydınların yapıtlarına, tarihi ve sosyal olaylara göndermelerde bulunarak, üst kurmaccı niteliği taşıyan metinler ortaya koymuşlardır. Çalışmam zda, yazarların bu söylemi oluşturma biçimleri ve 'aydın' kavramına bakış açıları ortaya konmaya ve biri Fransız diğeri Türk, iki yazarın yapıtlarındaki söylem ve izlekler aydın' kavramı çevresinde incelenerek, benzerlikler ue farklılıklar tespit edilmeye çalışılmış ır | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The main goal of this study has been, in a period wlıen intercultural communication studies have been gradually lncreasing, confronting two noueflsts, one of whom belonging to the East and the other to the West, as we/1 as their literary works, and the manifestation of their basic conventionaı and conflicting points regarding a certaln concept. Yücel and Flaubert are two significant novelists of different languages and cultures, one of whom liued a hundred years after the other. Both of them have questioned the lntellectual and the sdentlsts of their own periods in tl1e two novels dlscussed in this study. Via the characters claiming to be scientists and intellectuals, they criticize in an ironical way the understanding of selence and the (dentity of the lntellectual of their periods. In this, by means of uar(ous romanesque methods, they have constltuted an lntellectual expression, exhibiting implicitfy their own intellectual identities, and they have formed texts with metafictional features by frequently re/ erring to other writers and their literary works as we/1 as historical and social events. In this study, it has been attempted to demonstrate the ways thot these writers constltute this 'expression' and their perceptlons of the concept of 'the inte/lectual', and alsa to define the similarities and differences between the expresslons and the themes in the works of these two noue/ists, one of whom Turkish and the other French, within the frames of the concept of 'the lntellectual.' | en_US |
