Özet
Bu makale, 2010'dan 2019'a kadar olan dönemde Türkiye Sağlık Turizmi Endüstrisinin Toplam Faktör Verimliliğini (TPF) ölçmektedir. TPV’yi ölçmek için Malmquist Endeksi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Ölçüm için gerekli veriler Sağlık Bakanlığı ve TÜİK istatistiklerinden elde edilmiştir. Ölçüm sonuçlarına göre teknolojik değişim, ilgili dönemde sağlık turizmi endüstrisinin toplam faktör verimliliği değişimini olumsuz anlamda etkileyen baskın faktördür. Bu durum Türkiye'nin sağlık endüstrisinin büyüme modelini girdi/çıktı faktörlerinin yönlendirildiği bir yönetim modelden yenilikçi teknolojiler tarafından yönlendirilen bir modele dönüştürülmesi gerektiğini göstermektedir.
This study measures the Total Factor Productivity (TPF) of the Turkish Health Tourism Industry from 2010 to 2019. The Malmquist Index method was used to measure TPV. The necessary data for the measurement were obtained from the statistics of the Ministry of Health and TUIK. According to the measurement results, technological change is the dominant factor affecting the total factor productivity change of the health tourism industry in the relevant period. This shows that the growth model of Turkey's health industry should be transformed from a management model driven by input/output factors to one driven by innovative technologies.
