Özet
Bu çalışma Türk basınının kırılma noktalarından biri olan 1960’dan bugüne Konya yerel basını hakkında bilgi vermeyi amaçlamaktadır. Ulusal basının aksine yerel basın yapılanma ve içerik olarak oldukça zayıf ve geridir. Aynı zamanda yerel basın ülkenin içinde bulunduğu demokratik gelişmişlik düzeyi ile doğrudan ilintilidir. Diğer taraftan ulusal ve küresel basın araştırmalarının yanında yerel basın hakkında özellikle belirlenmiş ve tarihsel kökenleri geçmişe dayalı çalışmalar oldukça azdır. Özellikle basının 1960’lı yıllara kadar geçirdiği evreler üzerine yapılan çalışmalar genel bir yaklaşım içerinde ele alınarak mikro düzeyde incelemeler bulunmamakta, bundan sonraki süreçte ise yerel basının geçirdiği evreler üzerinde yeterince durulmamaktadır. Araştırmada, Konya örnekleminden yola çıkarak yerel basının içinde bulunduğu durum tarihsel bir bakış açısıyla ele alınmak istenmektedir. Konya yerel basını, aynı zamanda diğer yerel basınların bir örneği durumundadır.
The aim of this study is to overview the local press of Konya since 1960, a date which is considered a historical breaking point. In contrast to the national press, the local press is fairly poor and backward in aspects of structure and content. Besides, the local press is directly related with the democratic development level of the whole country. Beyond the studies about the national and the global press, specific and historical approaches to the local press are quite rare. Although there are historical studies studying the pre-1960 era in more general approaches and without a specific micro-level subject in focus; the development process after this date was not yet able to attract the attention it deserved. The aim of this study was to overview the situation of the local press in a historical context, on the example of the Konya press. The local press of Konya is considered as a typical sample of mainstream local press in Turkey.
