Özet
İkinci Dünya Savaşı sonrası soğuk savaş yılları yakın tarihin dönüm noktalarından birini oluşturur. 1960’lı yıllarda yeni bir toplumsal yapılanma gözlemlenmektedir. Bu yapılanmayı irdelemede eski paradigmalar yeterli olmamakta ve yeni paradigmalar gerekmektedir. Bu boşluğu İngiltere’de Birmingham Üniversitesi’nde kurulan CCCS (Center for Contemporary Cultural Studies) doldurmaktadır. 1960’lı yıllar sadece toplumsal değil, sanatsal dönüşümlerin de yaşandığı yıllardır ve sanatın sadece biçimi değil, içeriği de değişmektedir. Değişen sanat üzerinde sosyal bilimler alanında yapılan yeni çalışmaların etkisi büyüktür.
Cold war years after the Second World War is one of the keystones of modern history. A new social structure was the the fact of the 1960s and the old paradigms were insufficient to understand and analyse this new structure. This gap was filled by CCCS (Center for Contemporary Cultural Studies) founded in the University of Birminham. In 1960s there are drastic transformations in not only social structures, but also in arts. During these years while the forms of art were changing, the meaning of art was changing too. Changing ideas and forms of art were impressed by these new paradigms and social researches.
