Özet
Mitoloji her dönemde tiyatronun başvurduğu bir malzeme olmuştur. Esere kazandırdığı zenginlik, yarattığı düş gücüyle okura farklı bir dünya sunulmasını sağlar. Her yazar bu malzemeyi kendi çağının gereğine göre veya benimsediği dünya görüşü doğrultusunda yorumlar. Bu çalışmada MÖ 5. yüzyılda yaşayan Euripides in Helene adlı oyunu ile 20. yüzyılın önemli yazarlarından Selahattin Batu nun Güzel Helena adlı oyunu konu bakımından karşılaştırılarak her iki yazarın aynı efsaneyi ele alış biçimleri ve değişikliğe gittikleri noktalar üzerinde durulmuştur.
In every period mitology is one of the subject of drama. By adding richness to the content, creating an imaginative world it presents a different world to the reader. Each writer uses and interprets this subject according to the needs of his time or his world view. In this study Helene by Euripides, BC. 5. century, and Güzel Helena by Selahattin Batu, AC. 20. century, are compared in the sense of content and dealt with the aim of the usage of the same mitology with different aspects.
