| dc.description.abstract | Hâce Hatib Mahmûd er-Rumî, Osmanlı ilim hayatında müspet ilimlere ilginin azaldığı, ancak coğrafya ve kozmografyaya dair birçok eserin meydana getirildiği XVI. asrın müellifler zincirinin bir halkasıdır. Tercemetü Harîdeti’l-‘Acâyib ve Ferîdetû’l-Garâyib adlı eserin yazarı olarak tanınan Hâce Hatib Mahmud er-Rumî daha çok çeviri-derleme türünde eserler kaleme almıştır. Biz bu çalışmamızda hakkında pek az bilgi bulunan yazarın tarihi şahsiyetini ortaya koymaya ve kendisiyle ilgili tenakuzları aydınlatmayı hedefledik. Kaynakların genelde II. Murad devrine tarihlediği Hâce Hatib’in Kanûnî devrinde yaşayan, üstelik.benzer türde birkaç kitabı daha kaleme alan bir yazar olduğunu tespit ettik. Hayatı ve ona mal edilen kitaplar hakkındaki bilgileri tahlil edip elde ettiğimiz ip uçları ile tarihi şahsiyetinde kaynaklarda rastlanan boşlukları doldurmaya gayret ettik. Ayrıca yine aynı yazarın İbnü’l-Verdî’nin eseri dışında İstahri’nin Mesâlikü’l-Memalik ve Karabaği’nin Calibü’s-Sürûr ve’l-Gûrûr gibi başka eserleri de Türk ilim ve siyaset çevrelerine kazandırdığını belirledik. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Hace Hatib Mahmud was one of the rings of the chain of the 16th century authors that in this century the interest to the exact sciences decreased and many works about geography and cosmography were produced. Hace Hatib Mahmud who is famous as auther of the book “Tercemetü Haride el Acaib and Feride el Garaib”, had written more rather book kinds such as translation - anthology. Here, in our study, we not only aimed to introduce the author and determine its position within the science of Ottoman geography but also clarify the important contradictions about this author and his book. We determined that Hace Hatip who dated his references to the period of 2nd Murad, lived in the period of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman and furthermore wrote similar type of books. We tried our best to fill the blanks met in the references about the clues and his historical personality by analyzing the information about his life and his books. In addition, we determined that besides İbnü’l-Verdi’s book, the same author has brought the books of İstahri named as Mesalikü’l-Memalik and Karabaği named as Calibü’s-Sürur ve’l-Ğurur into the Turkish science and politics circles too. | en_US |
