A Research on the Tendency of Ermenek District Coals to Spontaneous Combustion

In this work, the coal samples from Ermenek District in Turkey were investigated in terms of propensity of spontaneous combustion. The samples taken from three collieries operated by the private companies (Polat, Akpinar and Turab Mining) were chemically analysed and searched for susceptibility to spontaneous heating by using the crossing point method. The results were emphasised with regards to the environmental index.
