Özet
Turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin meslek seçiminde ve geleceğe yönelik kariyer tercihlerinde staj her zaman önemli bir yer teşkil etmektedir. Staj yaptıkları işletmelerden memnun ayrılan öğrenciler turizm sektöründe kariyer yapmaya yönelik olarak olumlu bir tutum sergilerken, tersi durumda kariyer tercihlerini başka sektörlerden yana kullanma yönünde bir davranış gösterebilmektedirler. Bu nedenle, öğrencilerin staj deneyimi yaşadıkları işletmelerdeki memnuniyet algılarının araştırılması önemli bir konuyu oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin konaklama işletmelerindeki staj deneyimlerine ilişkin memnuniyet algıları incelenmiştir. Veriler anket yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Kırgızistan-Türkiye Manas Üniversitesi Turizm ve Otelcilik Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören 134 öğrenci üzerinde yürütülen araştırmada, katılımcıların staj yaptıkları konaklama işletmelerinden genel olarak memnun kaldıkları belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıları en çok memnun eden unsurun konaklama işletmelerindeki ‘ücret ve çalışma saatleri’, en az memnun eden boyutun ise konaklama işletmelerindeki ‘sosyal olanaklar’ olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, katılımcıların bazı demografik özellikleri (cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim gördükleri sınıf gibi) ile staj memnuniyet algıları arasında anlamlı farklılıklar saptanmıştır.
The internship phenomenon has always an important position in choice of profession and career preferences of students having tourism education. While students who left the enterprise they did their internship in a satisfied manner show a positive approach to make career in tourism sector, they would show an opposite behaviour and make their career choices for other sectors in case of a negative condition. Therefore, searching the satisfaction perceptions of students towards the enterprises in which they had their internship experience, constitutes an important issue. In this research, satisfaction perception of undergraduate tourism students regarding their internship experiences at accommodation enterprises were reviewed. Data were collected by survey method. In the research conducted on 134 students studying at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University School of Tourism and Hotel Management, it was determined that the participants were mostly satisfied with the accommodation enterprises in which they did their internship. It was determined that the element which the participants were most satisfied with was ‘wage and working hours’ at accommodation enterprises, and that the least satisfying dimension was ‘social facilities’ at accommodation enterprises. Besides, significant differences were detected between some demographic attributes of participants (such as gender, age, the grade they continue to study) and their internship satisfaction perceptions.
