Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; üniversite öğrencilerinin akademik umutsuzluk ve kadercilik eğilimlerini tespit ederek bu iki algı
arasındaki ilişki durumunu ortaya koymak ve bu algıların belirlenmesinde demografik faktörlerin rolünü ortaya çıkarmaktır.
Bu kapsamda 446 üniversite öğrencisinden anket yolu ile veri toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler Jamovi (version 2.3.2) analiz
programı yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Öncelikle toplanan veriler analize hazırlanmış, bu kapsamda güvenilirlik (cronbach
alpha) ve geçerlilik (keşfedici ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi) değerleri incelenmiştir. Sonrasında korelasyon analizi ve
parametrik testler uygulanarak elde edilen bulgular raporlanmıştır. Her iki ölçeğin alt boyutlarının birbirleri ile anlamlı ilişkili
olduğu görülmüştür. Akademik umutsuzluk ve kadercilik eğilimlerinde dinî ve kültürel unsurların belirleyici olabileceği tahmin
edilmektedir.
The aim of this study is to determine the academic hopelessness and fatalism tendencies of university students and to reveal the relationship between these two perceptions and to reveal the role of demographic factors in determining these perceptions. In this context, data were collected from 446 university students through questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed with the help of the Jamovi (version 2.3.2) analysis program. First of all, the collected data were prepared for analysis, and in this context, reliability (cronbach alpha) and validity (exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis) values were examined. Afterwards, the findings obtained by applying correlation analysis and parametric tests were reported. It was observed that the sub-dimensions of both scales were significantly related to each other. It is estimated that religious and cultural factors may be determinant in academic hopelessness and fatalism tendencies.
