Eserlerinde gelenekçi görünmeye çalışan yazar, yeniliği geleneğin içinde arar. Öğretmen kimliği, oyunlarının konusu ve dili üzerinde belirleyici unsurlardan biridir. Türk tarihinin önemli isimlerini sahneye aktararak, onların düşüncelerini yeni kuşaklara taşıması, onun tiyatrolarının bir başka özelliğidir.
