dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Duodenal atresia and jejunoileal atresia affect feeding and excretory control, which are basic vital activities of the newborn. It manifests itself with symptoms such as inability to make meconium in the infant, biliary/non-bilious vomiting, and abdominal distention. Intestinal atresia, which has a critical place in pediatrics, is very important in terms of managing the nursing care process and child / family care. Concept maps are used as a guide in planning interventions for departments such as nursing care, education, training, management and research. Concept maps are a learning technique that allows the learner to know the basic concepts, display them graphically and make connections by organizing and analyzing the information. Since the use of this teaching technique by nurses will combine theoretical and practical knowledge, it contributes to both better understanding of the disease and better care. Case Report: The aim of this case report is to present as a concept map of the nursing care given with the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association-International- NANDA-I diagnosis of a infant diagnosed duodenal and jejunoileal atresia in the newborn intensive care unit in accordance with the Functional Health Patterns. Conclusion: In the conducted case, nine nursing diagnoses were identified, 2 of which were risk diagnoses related to the problem areas. Diagnosing the newborn with duodenal atresia and ileal atresia in the postoperative period according to the Functional Health Patterns Model, using NANDA-I classification systems, and presenting these diagnoses with a concept map contributed to the provision of systematic nursing care.en_US
