Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi 3. Sınıf öğrencilerinin coğrafya dersine yönelik
tutumlarını belirlemektir. Öğrencilerin coğrafyaya yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek için hazırlanan
ve 30 maddeden oluşan coğrafya tutum ölçeği, Burdur Eğitim Fakültesi Sosyal Bilgiler
Öğretmenliği 3. sınıf öğrencilerinden 160 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Sosyal Bilgiler öğrencilerinin
coğrafyaya yönelik tutumları genelde olumludur. Öğrencilerin coğrafyaya karşı tutumlarının
cinsiyete göre farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Buna karşın, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğrencilerinin
coğrafyaya yönelik tutumlarının I. Öğretim ya da II. Öğretimde öğrenim görmelerine göre
farklılaştığı belirlenmiştir.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the attitudes of the third year students at the preservice Social Studies Education Department towards geography course. A 30 – item geography attitude scale prepared to find out students’ attitudes towards geography course is administrated to 160 third year students at the Preservice Social Studies Education Department of the Faculty of Burdur Education. It is found out that attitudes of the students at the Preservice Social Studies Education towards geography are generally positive. There is no significant gender differences found between male and female students’ attitudes towards geography. Nevertheless, there is a significant difference in students’ attitudes with respect to the type of the teaching programme (primary programme or secondary programme).
