Özet
Araştırma, halkalı sülünlerin et verimi özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Toplam 29 adet 20 haftalık erkek sülün kullanıldı. Sülünlerde ortalama canlı ağırlık 1301g, karkas randımanı %76.27 olarak tespit edildi. Boyun, kanat, sırt, but ve göğüs bölgelerinin karkasa oranı sırasıyla %7.48, %10.87, %12.29, %27.14 ve % 42.78 olarak belirlendi. Karkasın %69.92'sini göğüs ve budun teşkil ettiği saptandı. Et randımanı bakımından but bölgesi %88.65'le en yüksek, boyun bölgesi de %67.33'le en düşük olarak tespit edildi. Karkasın %80.26'sı et, %19.77'si kemik olarak belirlendi. Ayrıca toplam etin %74.12'sini but ve göğüs etinin oluşturduğu saptandı. Sonuç olarak, sülünlerin oldukça yüksek et randımanına sahip olduğu, et tipi sülün üretiminin teşvik edilmesi durumunda kanatlı sektörünün alternatif bir tür kazanacağı görüşüne varıldı.
This study was done to determine meat yield characteristics of ringneck pheasants. Totally 29 pheasants aged twenty weeks were used as material. Mean live weight of pheasants was 1301g and carcass yield was 76.27%. Ratios of the neck, wing, back, thigh and breast were 7.48 %, 10.87 %, 12.29 %, 27.14 % and 42.78 % respectively. 69.92 % of the carcass was thigh and breast. According to meat yield ratio of the carcass' parts, thigh with 88.65% was the highest, neck with 67.33 % was the lowest. It was determined that 80.26% of the carcass was meat and 19.77% was bone. And also 74.12% of the total meat come from thigh and breast meat. In conclusion, it was determined that pheasents have high meat yield and it is recommended that poultry sector could be gained an alternative kind if breeding of meat type pheasant is encouraged.
