Yetiştirme Yurdunda Kalmakta Olan Ergenlerin Anne-Baba Algıları: Nitel Bir Çalışma

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı yetiştirme yurdunda kalmakta olan ergenlerin anne-baba algılarına yönelik betimlemelerde bulunmaktır. Ergenlerin anne-baba algılarına ulaşmak için metaforların yardımına başvurulmuştur. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemine göre dizayn edilmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu oluşturulmuş, ergenlerin özlük niteliklerine ait bilgiler doküman analizi yapılarak elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini gönüllü 39 ergen oluşturmakta olup, ergenlerin yaş aralığı 13-20 arasında değişmektedir. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler üç başlık altında analiz edilmiştir. Birincisi, ergenlerin aileyi nasıl tanımladıkları; ikincisi, ailenin nasıl olması gerektiği; üçüncüsü ise anne-baba algılarına ilişkin görüş ve düşünceleridir. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda ergenler “aile nedir?” sorusuna daha çok olumlu ifadelerle cevap vermişlerdir. Ergenlerin “Olması gereken aile/ideal aile nasıl olmalıdır?” sorusuna ailenin destek mekanizması işlevini, ailede paylaşım ve açık iletişimin olması gerektiğini, ailede birliktelik olgusunu vurgulayarak cevap vermişlerdir. Ayrıca “anne- babanızı tanımlamak isteseydiniz hangi mecazları kullanırdınız” sorusunda ergenlerin anneye ilişkin algıları daha çok annenin melek ve cadı olması üzerine yoğunlaşmış; babaya ilişkin algıları ise babanın sorumsuzluğu, şiddet uygulaması, kuvvetli-çalışkan olması ve yetkinliği üzerine odaklanmıştır.
The aim of this survey is to depict the percep tion of the adolescents living in orphanage evaluating their parents by means of meta- phors. The result of metaphors was applied in order to reach the perception of adolescents regarding their parents. The survey was designed according to the qualitative research method. Semi-configured interview form was created as a means of data collection and the information about the essential charac teristics of the adolescents was achieved by making document analysis. The sample of the survey consists of 39 volunteering adoles- cents aged between 13 and 20. Data obtained from the research was analyzed under three titles. First one is about how the adolescents define family: second one is about how a family should be, and the third one is about their ideas and thoughts of their perception on parents. As a result of the survey, adoles cents answered with positive statements of this question was asked: "What is family?" The function of support mechanism in a fami- ly, sharing in the family, the necessity of open communication and unity in a family came into prominence when the question "How should a family ideal family be?" is consid- ered. In addition, the question "If you were to define your parents, which metaphors would you use?" was asked. Adolescents' answers focused on mothers being an "angel" or" a witch" while the perception regarding on fathers focused on their responsibilities by means of such metaphors like "committing violence, "and "being strong-diligent."
