dc.description.abstractThis study was carried out to determine of litter size by means of 5 MHz linear-array real-time ultrasonography between days 50 and 85 of pregnancy in 75 multiparous Merino ewes. No limitation was made water and food of the ewes before examination. The ewes were examined while standing and scanning were done transabdominally on the right side. The ultrasonic results were compared with actual lambing. Accuracy 61.33 %, sensitivity 48.64 %, specifity 73.68 %, determination of sing/e and-twin pregnancies 59.57 %, and 64.28 % respectively were found. Results of this study which were carried out by unexperienced operators, indicated that may be able to determine single and twin pregnancies accurately higher than 60.00% in sheep.en_US
dc.description.abstractYavru sayısının belirenebilmesi amacıyla, gebeliğin 50-85. günleri arasında 75 adet Merinos ırkı koyuna 5 MHz linear-array real-time ultrasonografi uygulandı. Ultrasonografik bulguların kuzulama kayıtlanyfa karşılaştırılması sonucu muayenenin doğruluk oram % 61.33, duyarlılık (sensivite) oranı% 48.64, özgüllük (spesifite) oranı% 73.68, ikiz gebeliği belirleme oranı% 64.28 ve tek yavru taşwan koyunlan belirleme oranı ise % 59.57 olarak bulundu. Deneyimsiz operatörler tarafından gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada bir ve birden fazla yavruya gebe koyunların % 60'dan daha yüksek bir oranda doğrulukla ayırt edilebileceği gözlendi.en_US
