dc.description.abstractThe pile foundations are mostly under the influence of the horizontal forces due to the earthquake, wind and wave forces. The soil properties is considerably different in this loaded medium. It is necessary to know the value of modulus of subgrade reaction which has an important place in the designing and calculation of the pile foundations. This study is aiming to present by the numerical model the suitability of the Value of modulus of subgrade reaction, determined experimentally through a vibrating apparatus placed on a free headed concrete filled steel pile.en_US
