dc.description.abstract | Some organochlorinated pesticides were investigated in Turkish cow's milk (n = 24). Almost all samples contained such residues. The frequently detected compounds were DDT and its metabolites, alpha-BHC, beta-BHC and gamma-BHC (Lindane), but aldrine, dieldrine, and endosulfane were also found. 91% of the milk samples were found to be contaminated. Endrine was only found in 2 samples, while 87% of the samples were contaminated by one or more BHC isomers. 26% of the organochlorinated pesticides is DDT and its metabolites. | en_US |
