Cytoxic effects and adsorbance properties of the adjuvants (aluminium hydroxide and calcium phosphate) were examined by means of Cytotoxicity assay, ELISA and subcutaneous implantation test. The highest concentrations of aluminium hydroxide and calcium phosphate adsorbed with TGF-?1 that produced no cytotoxicity on Verocells were found to be 0.098 mg and 2.5 mg respectively. The calcium phosphate adjuvant adsorbed less TGF- ?1 than aluminium hydroxide. By in vitro experiments, aluminium hydroxide served as more suitable carrier agent for TGF-?1.en_US
