Özet
İnsanoğlunu, diğer varlıklara üstün kılan en önemli özelliklerden birisi de biyolojik olarak doğuştan getirmiş olduğu konuşabilme yeteneğidir. Ancak, bu yeteneğin olgunlaşması, açığa çıkması, belli bir süre almaktadır. Bu noktada, bebeğin iletişim kapasitesinin gelişmesinde, bebeğin ailesinin ve çevresinin destek ve teşviği son derece önemli rol oynamaktadır. Bebeğin dil gelişimi sürecinde, bebeğin çevresi, bu süreci kolaylaştırıp iletişimi eğlenceli bir hale getirmek için bazı yöntemler kullanmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerden birisi de, hemen hemen her ailenin, sık sık başvurduğu "bebek dili" tekniğidir. Bu araştırmada, önce, "bebek dili"nin tanımı yapılacak, sonra, "bebek dili'nin kültürler arası kullanım özellikleri açıklanacak, daha sonra, 24-38 aylık 8 çocuğun bir biriyle iletişimi esnasında kullanmış oldukları "bebek dilV'nin özellikleri gözlemlenerek, morfolojik ve semantik açılardan yaygın olarak konuşulan dillerden biri olan İngilizce'yle karşılaştırılarak sınıflandırılacak, en sonunda, "bebek dili"nin kullanımıyla ilgili yetişkinlere bazı önerilerde bulunulacaktır.
One of the most important characteristics of human beings that make them superior to the other liv- ings on the earlh is biologic prewiring ofsyeaking ability they have brought with in-horn. But, it takes a definite time for them to mature and manipulate a language fiuently and accurately. At this point, the support and the encouragement of the baby's family and environment play crucial roles in the process of baby's communication capacity development. Baby’s family and environment have been using some methods to facilitate this process and make the communication among the family enjoy- able in the process of baby's language development. One of the most effective technique3 of these methods is “baby talk” almost all families often practise. In this longitudinal study, first, the definition and the description of the “baby talk“ will be made, sec- ondly, the cross-cultural characteristics of the “baby talk“ will be revealed by the authentic examples, thirdly, the characteristics of the ”baby talk” 8 toJdlers, 24-38-month—old, have used during the inter- action of each other will be observed and will be scrutinized by the comparision of English, which is one of the most widely spoken language all over the world, from the moryhologic anJ semantics aspects. As a final remark, some suggestions will be made to the adults and families about the effec- tive and efficient usage of the ”baby talk”.
