dc.description.abstractBu çalışma Selçuk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Deney Hayvanları Ünitesi'nde bulunan ratlardaki Polyplax serrata' ya karşı deltamethrinin etkisini araştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Ünitede bulunan ve P. serrata ile doğal enfeste 60 rat, farklı yaş ve cinsiyetlerine göre her biri 12 adet rattan oluşan 5 gruba ayrıldı. Yaş, cinsiyet ve gebelik durumuna göre dört gruba ayrılan tedavi gruplarındaki ratlara Butox (Deltamethrin) % 0.2 oranında sulandırılarak püskürtme tarzında uygulandı. Beşinci grup kontrol olarak bırakıldı. Tedaviden sonra yapılan birinci ve dördüncü gün muayenelerinde tedavi grubundaki ratlarda hiçbir canlı bite rastlanmadı. Diğer taraftan, kontrol grubundaki ratlarda bitlerin canlı ve hareketli oldukları görüldü. Sonuç olarak, deltamethrinin uygulanan dozda, ratlarda bulunan P. serrata' ya karşı % 100 etkili olduğu gözlenmiş ve herhangi bir yan etki görülmemiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study was carried out to determine the efficacy of deltamethrine on Polyplax serrata found on naturally infested rats at the department of Experimental Animal Research Unit, Faculty of Medicine, University of Selçuk. Sixty rats, naturally infested by P. serrata, were divided into five groups (each group containing 12 rats) of different ages and genders. Four groups were treated with 0.2% butox (deltamethrine) spraying. The fifth group was kept as a control. No lice were found on the rats of the four treatment groups 24 hours and 4 days after treatment. On the other hand, living lice were found on the rats in the control group. It was concluded that deltamethrine was 100 % effective against Polyplax serrata on the rats at the dose given above and no side effects were observed.en_US
