| dc.description.abstract | Araştırmada genel olarak, küreselleşmenin etkisiyle birlikte mahiyeti ve işlevleri değişen ulusdevlet üzerinde durulacaktır. Küreselleşmenin karşı konulamaz siyasal, ekonomik ve sosyokültürel etkilerinin yerleşik kurumları ve bu arada değerleri ve kavramları ne şekilde dönüştürdüğü saptanmaya çalışılarak, olgunun ulus-devlet üzerindeki etkileri, sivil toplum, demokrasi, İslam, ekonomi ve kültür etrafında oluşan bir çerçeveye oturtulacaktır. Bu amaçla konuyla ilgili çeşitli yerli/yabancı literatürde yer alan görüşlere yer verilecek ve yukarıda belirtilen eksenler etrafında konu tartışılacaktır. Bu tartışma, küreselleşmenin ulusdevletin merkezi yapısını zayıflattığı ve kendinden beklenen işlevleri yerine getirememeye başladığı varsayımına dayanan post-kolonyalizm kuramcılarının kavramsal tanımlamaları ve kuramlarına dayandırılacaktır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this study is to focus on the concept of nation-state whose essential nature and functions are forced to change with the influence of globalization. The irresistible political, economical and socio-cultural effects of globalization on established institutions as well as on common values and conceptual understandings will be examined. The effects of globalization on the concept of nation-state will be discussed in the framework of civil society, democracy, Islam, economy, and national culture. In accomplishing the study objective, both the national literature and the international literature on the subject will be reviewed. Especially, those studies and opinions that are closely related to the study topic will be discussed in the above outlined framework. The main discussion of the present study will be based on the conceptual understandings and presumptions of postcolonial theories, which basically argue that globalization weakens the essential structure of the nation-state and thus causes it not to carry out its main functions. | en_US |
