| dc.description.abstract | In the experiment, the male mermo lambs which were at the same age and simi/ar body weight were used. The anima/s were divided into S groups as Control, Group 1·A, Group 1·8, Group 2-A and Group 2·8. During the first 3.S month, hypothyroidism was induced in the · anima/s except control one s by administration of thiourea. Then, thiourea administration was lasted and potassium iodide (KI) was given to the anima/s in the Group 1-8 and Group 2·8 for 3.S month. 8oth of the total thyroxine and triiodothyronine /eve/s decreased in the anima/s which were given thiourea. Because of hypothyroidism, body weight gain, ruminal pH, ruminal protozoa count and ruminal total volatile fatty acids /eve/s decreased. However. ruminal and blood ammonia nitrogen /eve/s and ruminal bacteria counts ine· reased. The parameters of the anima/s those were given KI, reached at the /eve/s of control ones. In the anima/s not given KI, the increase of those parameters were at lower /eve/s. At the end of the experiment, the mean body weight of control anima/s was 6S kg and the anima/s those were given KI at the end of the hypothyroidism was S6 kg. Where as, it was rather lower (4S kg) in the hypothyroidism induced but not given KI ani ma/s. This differences in body weight gain have an economical importance. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Denemede aym yaşta ve canli ağlfflklan eşit olan, erkek merinos kuzular kullanıldı. Hayvanlar; Kontrol, Grup 1-A, Grup 1-8, Grup 2·A ve Grup 2-8 şeklinde S gruba aynldı. Ilk 3.S aylık süre boyunca. kontrol kuzulan dışındaki hayvaniara thiourea uygulanması ile hipotiroidizm oluşturuldu. Daha sonra thiourea uygulanması sona erdi ve Grup 1-8 ile Grup 2-B'deki hayvaniara 3.S ay süre ile potasyum iyödür (KI) verildi. Thiourea verilen hayvanlarda total tiroksin ve triiyodotironin düzeyleri azaldı. Hipotiroidizm nedeniyle. canlı ağ1rlık kazancı, rumen pH's1, rumen porotozoonlannın sayısı ve rumen içeriği total uçucu yağ asidi düzeyleri azaldı. Ancak. rumen içeriği ve kan amonyak azotu düzeyleri ile rumen bakterilerinin say1s1 arttı. KI verilen hayvaniann parametreleri kontrol grubundakilerin düzeylerine ulaşti. KI verilmeyen hayvanlarda ise, bu parametrelerdeki artış daha düşük düzeylerdeydi. Deneme sonunda, kontrol hayvanlannın ortalama canlı ağırlığı 65 kg ve hipotiroidizm sonunda KI verilen hayvanlarda 56 kg'd1. Buna karşılık. hipotiroidizm oluşturulan fakat KI verilmeyen hayvanlardaki canlı ağtrlık daha düşüktü (4S kg). Canlı ağırlık kazançlarındaki bu farklılıklar ekonomik açıdan önemli bulundu. | en_US |
