Özet
Kitle iletişim araçlarında şiddetin sunumu günümüzde tartışılan konulardan birisidir. Medyada şiddet içeren haber olaylarına her gün rastlamak olanaklıdır. Bunlar gözle görülür, örtük olmayan şiddet olaylarıdır. Bunun yanı sıra bir de izleyicilerin farkında olmadığı, örtük olarak sunulan şiddet vardır. Özellikle reklamlardan dizilere kadar birçok yayında kadına yönelik şiddet örtük olarak sunulmaktadır. Böylece şiddet sıradanlaştırılmakta ve kadına yönelik şiddet normal bir davranış olarak sunulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada da Türkiye’de ulusal kanallarda yayınlanan ve izlenme oranları yüksek dizilerde kadına yönelik şiddetin nasıl gündeme geldiği araştırılmıştır. Çünkü araştırmalar dizilerin en yaygın olarak tüketilen popüler kurmaca ürünler olduğunu göstermektedir. Dolayısıyla izleyicilerin bu dizilerdeki karakterlerle özdeşleşmeleri ve onlar arasında rol modeller bulmaları dizileri daha da önemli kılmaktadır. Yapılan araştırmada da şiddetin dizilerde nasıl gündeme geldiğini tartışabilmek için içerik çözümlemesi yöntemi ile seçilen dizilerdeki sahneler çözümlenmiştir.
The presentation of violence in mass media has currently been one of the controversial topics. It’s quite probable to come across some news events involving violence in media every day. These are visible occurrences of violence which are not implicit. Furthermore, there is also the violence presented implicitly of which the audience is not aware. Violence against women is presented implicitly in many broadcasts including especially the commercials and serials. Thus, violence is turned into something commonplace and violence against women is presented as a normal treatment. This research deals with how violence against women has come up in the serials broadcasted on national channels with high ratings. Because research findings indicate that serials are the most commonly consumed popular fiction productions. Accordingly, the fact that the viewers tend to identify themselves with the characters in the film and find role models among them makes the serials more noteworthy. In this research, the scenes in the films were analyzed with content analysis method to be able to discuss how violence has come up in serials.
