| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmanın amacı, Çanakkale savaş alanlarının hüzün turizmi bağlamında değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışmanın ilk kısımlarında turizm, hüzün turizmi, Çanakkale savaş alanlarının turizm açısından önemi konuları üzerine literatür taramasına yer verilmiştir. Akabinde ise değerlendirme başlığı altında çalışmanın amacı, yöntemi ve Çanakkale’nin bazı verilerine yer verilmiştir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, Çanakkale savaşlar alanları mirasının turizm potansiyeline odaklanmıştır; 2011-2016 yılları arasındaki Çanakkale turizm verileri, yorumlayıcı paradigma çerçevesinde açıklayıcı yöntemle sunulmaya çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, savaş alanlarının turizmdeki konumunu değerlendirmek ve bölgenin potansiyelini ortaya koymak amacıyla kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, Çanakkale’nin hüzün turizmi bağlamında ulusal ve uluslararası pazarlarda daha etkili tanıtılması, turizm altyapısının iyileştirilmesi ve ziyaretçi sayısını artırmaya yönelik stratejiler geliştirilmesi gerektiği vurgulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, Çanakkale savaş alanlarının, tarihi ve kültürel mirasıyla Türkiye turizmine önemli katkılar sağlayacak bir destinasyon olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda bölgenin hüzün turizmi kapsamında etkin bir şekilde değerlendirilmesi için öneriler getirilmiştir. Yapılan bu çalışmanın yapılacak yeni çalışmaları destekleyeceği olabileceği de ön görülmektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to evaluate the Gallipoli battlefields within the context of dark tourism. In the initial sections of the study, a literature review is provided on topics such as tourism, dark tourism, and the significance of the Gallipoli battlefields in terms of tourism. Subsequently, under the heading of evaluation, the study’s purpose, methodology, and some data concerning Gallipoli are presented. In this context, the study focuses on the tourism potential of the heritage of the Gallipoli battlefields. Tourism data from Gallipoli between 2011 and 2016 are analyzed using an explanatory method within the framework of an interpretive paradigm. The obtained data are used to evaluate the role of the battlefields in tourism and to reveal the region’s potential. The study emphasizes the need for more effective promotion of Gallipoli in national and international markets within the context of dark tourism, improvement of tourism infrastructure, and the development of strategies to increase the number of visitors. As a result, it is determined that the Gallipoli battlefields, with their historical and cultural heritage, constitute a destination that makes significant contributions to Turkey's tourism sector. In this regard, recommendations are provided for the effective evaluation of the region within the scope of dark tourism. It is also anticipated that this study will support future research in the field. | |
