| dc.description.abstract | İkinci Dünya Savaşı sonrası batı bloğunun da etkisiyle, siyasi hayatında değişime giden Türkiye’de 14 Mayıs 1950 Genel Seçimleri ile uzun yıllar süren Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (CHP) iktidarı sonlanmış ve 1946 yılında kurulan Demokrat Parti (DP) iktidara gelmiştir. 1950-1960 yılları arasında iktidarda kalan Demokrat Partinin düşüşü yeni bir seçimle olmamıştır. 27 Mayıs 1960 tarihinde gerçekleşen askeri darbe neticesinde Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri yönetime el koymuş ve Türkiye’de siyaset farklı bir mecraya girmiştir. 1960 yılı Türkiye’sinde 27 Mayıs 1960 Askeri Müdahalesinin yansımalarının en sağlıklı takip edilebildiği araç, hiç şüphesiz radyo ve gazeteler olmuştur. Daha kısıtlı bir kitleye hitap eden radyoya nazaran daha geniş etkiye sahip olan dönemin gazeteleri; darbe öncesi ve sonrasında kamuoyunu bilgilendirme misyonunu üzerine almıştır. Türk basınında, ulusal vasıftakiler bir tarafta tutulduğunda, yerel basının da bu konuda önemli bir yeri bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, 27 Mayıs 1960 Askeri Müdahalesinin yerel matbuata yansıması örneklerine bir katkı yapmak amacı ile Mardin Basını incelenmiştir. 1960 Askeri Müdahalesini ve basına yansımasını değerlendirebilmek için, genel olarak Demokrat Parti Dönemi ve darbeyi hazırlayan etkenler üzerinde de durulmuştur. Gazetelerin incelenmesi sonucunda, basının Mardin’de darbe öncesi ve sonrası yaklaşımları analiz edilmiştir. Yurdun genelinde hakim olan darbe sonrası tavırlar, Mardin Basınında da görülmektedir. Ayrıca, Mardin Basınının, darbe döneminde halkın bilinçlenmesi açısından etkili bir rol oynadığı görülmüştür. Dönemin Mardin Basını içerisinden Demokrat Mardin, Mardin Sesi ve Yeni Mardin gazeteleri taranmıştır. Acaba Mardin Basını darbe öncesi ve sonrasında nasıl bir tavır sergilemiştir? Darbe öncesi yaklaşımını darbe sonrasında da göstermiş midir? Yoksa tersine bir yol izleyerek, farklı bir çizgiye mi kaymıştır? Çalışmada öncelikle yoğunlaşılacak soru bu olmuştur. Çalışmada ayrıca darbe döneminde Mardin halkının verdiği tepkiler, resmi otoriteler karşısında takındığı tavır da incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Genel olarak görülen Mardin halkının uyumlu bir tavır sergilediği yönündedir. Sonuç olarak, Darbeye Mardin Basınının yaklaşımı kente özgü olmakla birlikte, Türkiye genel profilini de yansıtmaktadır. Tüm Türkiye de yerel basında darbe sonrası görülen tavır değişikliği Mardin kentinde de gözlemlenmektedir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | After the Second World War, the Republican People’s Party government had lost power with the 14 May 1950 elections in Turkey, which changed its political course because of the influence of the Western Bloc, and the Democrat Party which was founded at 1946 had came into the power. The Democratic Party stayed in power between 1950 and 1960 and its demise had not come with a new election. As a result of 27 May 1960 coup, the Turkish Armed Forces had seized control and the Political course of Turkey had been changed. The most trustworthy mediums that the reflections of May 27th coup of 1960 could be keep up with were the radio and the newspapers. Unlike the radio, which had a limited audience, the newspapers had undertaken the mission of informing the people in before and after the coup. The local press, at the other side of the national media, had also occupied an important place in that matter. In this article, the Mardin Press has been researched on the ground that it might contribute to the reflections of the Coup of 27th May 1960 in the local presses. In order to research the coup of May 27th 1960 and its reflections on the press, the time of Democrat Party and the reasons of the coup have been also elaborated. With the research of newspapers, the approaches of press at Mardin in before and after the coup have been analyzed. The attitudes which had been prevalent at Turkey after the coup also had been noticed in Mardin. Besides, it had been noticed that the Mardin Press had played an important role from the standpoint of informing the people at the time of the Coup. The newspapers of Demokrat Mardin, Mardin Sesi and Yeni Mardin, which were the part of the Mardin press, were scanned. How the Mardin Press was acted before and after the Coup? Was it able to sustain its political line or, changed its view to an opposite one? This question is the primary question of that article. Also this study tried to investigate the reactions of people of Mardin towards to official authorities during the time of the Coup. Generally, it has been observed that the inhabitants of Mardin have displayed an obedient attitude. Eventually, while the approach of the Mardin Press to the Coup is peculiar to the Mardin, it is also reflecting the general profile of Turkey at the same time. Just like in the entire Turkish local Press, a change of attitude has been observed in the Mardin Press after the Coup. | en_US |
