| dc.description.abstract | In this investigation, it was studied on 50 neonatal calves with diarrhea. As soon as the calves arrived to clinic the blood samples were taken from the jugular vein in order to determine the following blood parameters: packet cell volume (hematocrit %), leukocyte number, differential leukocyte count %, sedimentation rate, serum urea, Na, K, Inorganic P and total protein. Especially, the increase in PCV (Hematocrit %). leukocyte number and serum urea were much pronounced in the blood of calves. To decide about prognosis and the treatment of the calves, these measurerements are taken into consideration. The analysis of these blood parameters was carried out before the treatment and during the treatment period. The treatment of animals consisted of subcutaneous infusion of a isolayt solution mixed with hyaluornidaes (50-150 ml isolayt + 15-45 I.U. hyaluronidase per kg of body weight). On the other hand, the application of the effective antibiotics were administered orally (chloramphenicol; 30 mg/kg). and intramuscular (Gentamycine; 5 mg) kg) based on the results of an antibiogram carried out on facces. Three calves died but the other 47 calves were returned to their health. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmada, neonatal dönemdeki 50 ishalli buzağı üzerinde çalışıldı. Hasta buzağılar kliniğe getirildiklerinde; hematokrit değer, lökosit sayısı, lökosit formülü, sedimentasyon hizi, kan serumunda üre, Na, K, inorganik P ve total protein tayini amacıyla vena jugularisten kan örnekleri alındı. Özellikle buzağıların kan değerlerinden hematokrit değer, lökosit sayısı ve serum üresi miktarlarında bariz bir artış tesbit edildi. Buzağıların prognozu ve tedavisi hakkında bu ölçümler dikkate alınarak karar verildi. Sözkonusu kan analizleri tedavi öncesi ve tedavi boyunca yapıldı. Hayvanların tedavisi, izolit + hyaluronidaz karışımı deri altı yolla verilerek yapıldı (her kg vücut ağırlığına 50-150 ml izolit +15-45 I.U. hyaluronidaz). Diğer taraftan dışkı örneklerinde yapılan antibiyoğram sonuçları dikkate alınarak etkili antibiyotik uygulaması ağız yoluyla (chloramphenicol; 30 mg/kg) ve kas içi yolla (Gentamicin; 30 mg/kg/ yapıldı. Üç buzağı öldü, yaşamlarını sürdüren 47 buzağı ise sağlıklarına kavuşturuldu. | en_US |
