dc.description.abstractAcrodysostosis is an extremely rare disorder characterized by short stature and peripheral dysostosis. The co-existence of metabolic syndrome and acrodysostosis in adolescence has not been previously reported in the pediatric endocrinology literature. We report a 17 year-old boy with acrodysostosis who developed metabolic syndrome, with insulin resistance and impaired glucose tolerance exhibited by an oral glucose tolerance test as well as other features of metabolic syndrome including hyperlipidemia and hypertension.en_US
