Aim: This research was conducted in order to determine the belonging, compassion and burnout levels of midwives in Turkey. Method: The study was conducted online between 15.03.2022 and 15.03.2023 with 415 midwives working in the delivery room, obstetrics service, obstetrics emergency and obstetrics outpatient clinics across Turkey as a descriptive and correlational research. Midwives were included in the study by random sampling method. Data were collected through social media (facebook, instagram, whatsapp, midwifery association groups, midwifery association groups) with the introductory information form created by the researcher, Midwifery Belonging Scale, Compassion Scale and Copenhagen Burnout Scale and the link created on surveey.com. Findings: Midwifery belongingness levels were found to be higher in those who received support from their family and social environment, whose income was higher than expenses, and who worked in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions. Compassion levels were found to be higher in those who received support from their families and were satisfied with midwifery. Burnout levels were found to be lower in those who received support from their family, coworkers and social environment, were satisfied with their profession and considered their salary sufficient. A negative relationship was found between burnout scale and midwifery belonging scale and compassion scale. A positive relationship was found between the compassion scale and midwifery belonging scale. Results: As midwives' belongingness levels increase, their burnout levels decrease. The effect of compassion levels on burnout is not significant.
