Verletzungen der peripheren Arterien und ihre chirurgische Behandlung
Es wird über 196 periphere Gefäßverletzungen berichtet, die von 1976 bis 1986 behandelt wurden. Rund 70% der Fälle betrafen Patienten bis zum 30. Lebensjahr. In nur 30% der Fälle handelte es sich um stumpfe Traumen oder Unfälle, in der Mehrzahl lagen Stich- und Schußverletzungen vor. Bei 56 Patienten war die Arteria femoralis, bei 54 Patienten die Arteria poplitea betroffen. 48 Patienten hatten eine Begleitverletzung der Hauptvene, 36 wiesen eine Fraktur auf. In 43% der Fälle wurde eine End-zu-End-Anastomose vorgenommen. Bei 8 Patienten war eine Amputation erforderlich. Fünf Patienten verstarben. Die Autoren diskutieren im einzelnen die Faktoren, von denen der Behandlungserfolg abhing.

Most of the cases were between 11 and 30 years of age and most of the injuries were by fire-arms and sharp weapons.The most common localisations were a. femoralis (29%cases), a. poplitea and branches (28%), a. brachialisinjury (20%). The most common surgical measures were end-to-end anastomosis (43% cases) and venous ort hograft replacement (17%). There were 5 mortalities. Factors affecting treatment success are discussed.
