| dc.description.abstract | Temel olarak bir ekonominin ürettiğinden fazlasını tüketmesi ve tüketimini de ithalat yolu ile karşılaması neticesinde oluşan cari işlemler açığı, dikkate alınması gereken önemli makroekonomik sorunlardan birini oluşturmaktadır. Her ne kadar olağan bir gelir kalemi olmasa bile, yapısal nedenlerle Türkiye ekonomisinde sürekli açık veren cari işlemler hesabının finansmanında net hata ve noksan hesabı cari açığı azaltıcı bir unsur olarak dikkat çekmektedir. Kaynağı bilinemeyen kayıt dışı döviz girişi ve çıkışlarını ifade eden net hata ve noksan hesabı; zaman, kapsam ve ölçüm hatalarından kaynaklanmaktadır. Normal şartlar altında ödemeler bilançosu çift taraflı kayıt uygulaması kullanılarak tutulduğu için, borçlu ve alacaklı işlemlerin denkleştirilmesi esastır. Ancak farklı nedenlerden dolayı denkleştirme işlemi sağlanamadığında net hata ve noksan hesabı devreye girmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Güçlü Ekonomiye Geçiş Programı sonrası cari işlemler dengesi ile net hata ve noksan hesabı arasındaki ilişkiyi Türkiye için 2003:Q1-2018:Q4 dönemine ait veriler aracılığıyla VAR modeli kullanarak analiz etmektir. Elde edilen bulgular; cari işlemler hesabından net hata ve noksan hesabına doğru bir nedensellik ilişkisinin olduğunu göstermiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The current account deficit, which basically occurs as a result of an economy consuming more than it produces and meeting its consumption through imports, constitutes one of the important macroeconomic problems that should be taken into consideration. Even though it is not an ordinary income item, the net errors and omissions account draws attention as a factor reducing the current account deficit in the financing of the current account, which constantly runs a deficit in the Turkish economy due to structural reasons. Net errors and omissions accounting, which represents unregistered foreign exchange inflows and outflows of unknown origin, arises from time, scope and measurement errors. Since the balance of payments is kept using double-sided registration under normal circumstances, it is essential to balance debtor and creditor transactions. However, when balancing cannot be achieved due to various reasons, net errors and omissions calculation comes into play. The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the current account balance and net errors and omissions accountsafter the Transition to a Strong Economy Program using the VAR model through data for the period 2003:Q1-2018:Q4 for Turkey. The findings showed that there is a causal relationship from the current account to the net errors and omissions account. | |
