The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which variables of job satisfaction and burnout [emotional exhaustion (EE), depersonalization (DP), and negative sense of professional achievement (NSPA)] contribute to the interpretation of life satisfaction. The participants in the study were 85 female (27.2 %), 228 male (72.8%), total 313 physical education (PE) teachers who work in Ministry of National Education institutions in the central districts of Ankara in Turkey. To collect data for the study, the Job Satisfaction Scale, Maslach Burnout Inventory (Educator Form) and Life Satisfaction Scales were used. In the analysis of the data collected, the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis techniques were used. The results indicated that there are significant positive moderate correlations between life satisfaction and job satisfaction and negative relations among EE, DP and NSPA. It was found that all the variables used to interpret life satisfaction account for 45% of total variance. It was determined that the EE sub-dimension of the burnout variable is the one that contributes most to the prediction of life satisfaction. This was followed by the NSPA, DP and job satisfaction variables.en_US
